Making your own pizza from scratch takes a little time but it is healthier and easier on your wallet especially if you have a big family. The key is to let your dough rise until it is more than double in size. It could take two hours or more. For a thick crust, let the dough rise the second time after it is spread in the pizza pan.

3 -¾ cups Unbleached All Purpose Flour

2 tsp Dry yeast or 1 packet

¾ tsp Salt

¾ tsp Sugar

½ cup purified Water

Topping:

2 cups Homemade Pizza Sauce

1 lb.. ground Meat Brown and drained

4 oz. Shredded Cheese

Direction

In a bowl add the flour, the yeast and stir. Add salt, sugar, and water.

Stir.

Cover and let it sit in a warm area like your stove or in the oven with the light on for two hours or until it doubles in size.

Oil the baking pans. Two cast iron baking pans or skillets would work and give you a crispy crust.

Divide the dough in two and spread in the pans.

For thicker crust let is rise in the oven for another hour. Take the pan out of the oven. For thin crust don’t do the second rise.

Preheat the oven 500 degree F.

Bake the crust for 8-12 min or until just light brown.

Add the topping
