The payroll workbook has been revised to help complete form 940 Federal Unemployment Tax Return.
FUTA tab and the summary report tab are revised.
Total FUTA tab has been added to the workbook.
The Summary Report tab is a great payroll report to print out and save for business record.
As a disclaimer, it is your responsibility to make sure no formula is broken, and your taxes are accurate.
You would need to update the “List” tab with your business name and year.
You would complete the “Staff” tab and Federal Income tax tab.
Free Payroll Spreadsheet-Form 940-B22F2 can be used to track your payroll and be able to calculate your payroll taxes including:
Form 940 Employer’s Annual Federal Unemployment Tax, if you are not paying unemployment tax to your state.
Form 941 Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return
Form 944 Employer’s Annual Federal Tax Return
E File W-2/W-3 with Social Security Administration using the manual key in method.

Free Payroll Spreadsheet Exceptions
If you are semiweekly schedule depositor, or you have at least one employee that could be subject to additional Medicare tax or would earn wages higher than the taxable social security wage threshold, the free payroll spreadsheet might not be suitable for your business model.
The free payroll spreadsheet is not designed to stop calculating social security tax on employees whose annual wage exceeds the taxable social security wages during the year.
The free payroll spreadsheet is not designed to calculate additional Medicare tax to withhold from employees whose wages exceeded the threshold during the year.
The payroll workbook doesn’t track daily payroll liability that can be used to complete Schedule B Form 941, a schedule required for semiweekly schedule depositors.
The payroll tax liability is tracked by month and by quarter using our free payroll spreadsheet Form 940 B22F2Rev1.
