I don’t use rice cooker and I cook white long grain rice. You can follow instruction on the rice package or follow the instruction below if you cook a similar rice. I purchase rice in 25 Lbs. bag. It is cheaper than the small package. I cook rice in a stainless steel pot. It comes out with a lightly brown crust at the bottom which I enjoy eating.

Ingredients:

1 part of rice (regular long grain rice)

2 part of water

Salt to taste

Direction:

In a pot add rice, salt, and water.

Put the pot on the stove and turn the stove on to high heat.

Once the rice starts to boil, decrease the heat to medium (6 o’clock).

Stir the rice and let it boil uncovered.

Once the water is below the rice, cover the pot and reduce the heat to 8 o’clock.

Let the rice cook for 15 minutes and turn the stove off.

Wait at least 5 minutes before scooping the rice off the pot.
