How to put your garden to sleep in fall
In fall, you could mulch your garden with fall leaves you racked on your property.
If you don’t spray your yard, you could use your fall leaves to mulch your vegetable garden for free and compost at the same time. Fall leaves would keep the ground moist in your garden. Your garden would hold moisture from the snow fall after it melted if you mulch your garden.
In spring your garden would hold moisture from the rain fall as well. In summer, you don’t need to water your garden.
