After you created your WordPress website, you would be prompted to click on a button to login and start building your website. Click on that button to access your WordPress website Dashboard. Alternatively, login i to your account at bluehost.com.
Click on My Sites on the left sidebar once you login in Bluehost.
Scroll to the website you just created.
Click on Login button under the website or domain name.
You would access your WordPress website dashboard.
Look at the website URL in the web browser. If it is different from your domain name, it is WordPress temporary URL and you need to change it.
In our example we expect to see libertaxservice.com/wp-admin. Instead, we saw http://box5186.temp.domains/~ninasoap/liberlabel/wp-admin/
How do you change a WordPress and Site address temporary URL?
- Under your WordPress Dashboard
- It might state your website is not secure. Therefore, you would install SSL.
- Close few pop ups
- Click on Settings in the left sidebar
- Click on General
- Next to Word Press URL is: http://box5186 temp.domains/~ninasoap/liberlabel
- I changed it to http://liberlabel.com
- Do the same with yours
- Site address was: http://box5186.temp.domains/~ninasoap/liberlabel
- Enter the address here if you want your site home page to be different from your WordPress installation directory.
- I changed it to http://liberlabel.com
- Change yours to your domain name
- Save Changes
- Your site should reload and prompt you to login
- Open a new browser tab
- Enter your domain name admin URL. It would be your domain name /wp-admin. In our example it is http://liberlabel.com/wp-admin
- Enter
- Enter the username
- Password
- enter
- It opened the dashboard
- Your website URL in the web browser should be as you expected. In our example it is: http://liberlabel.com/wp-admin/
- Congratulations! You changed temporary URL with WordPress. .
