Our monthly grocery stock up cost so far $151.93.
During the second week of January 2021, some food staples we use went on sale in the grocery store ads.
We took out $300 for the month of January for our household of 7. Our monthly grocery budget includes $150 for food and non-food staples, $60 for fruit, and $90 for meat.
Food and non-food budget are $150. Food expense is $87.87
Grocery purchase for birthday celebration: $44.18
Cereals stock up: $37.62
We purchased 38 boxes of Hy-Vee cereals at $0.99 each.
2 gal. Milk: $6.07
Fruit Stock up cost: $28.76
We stocked up on fruit including bananas and apples.
23.71 lbs bananas on sale for $0.29/lb. cost $6.87.
11 – 3Lbs bags of Gala apples from Aldi at $1.99 each cost $21.89
Meat stock up: $35.30
93% lean Ground beef was on sale for $2.99. We purchased 10 lbs. for $30.14
6 Dozens eggs at $0.86/dozen cost $5.16
When your kids are at home, it is good to stock up on fruit when it is on sale to have plenty of healthy snack on hand to serve them between meals.
