This infused honey help my children’s throat when they have cough. I like  to have a quart jar of it in the fridge for winter. During the preparation, I keep adding more onion green and more honey until the jar is full and I let it in the fridge for at least a month or two before I strain it.
I don’t like to buy cough medicine over the counter for my children.
I don’t grow regular onion in my garden. I grow a lot of Egyptian onions which I use to make my cough medicine. It is a perennial to at least zone 5. Usually 1 tsp twice a day is all I give them.
Regular onion can be used as well.
