3 Criteria to choose a great stock for long term investment
- Current price to their low and high during 52 weeks range
- Dividend rate/year
- Historic chart from 1980 to 2020
A stock that didn’t drop in price too much, pays a good dividend and has a vertical historic chart is a good stock for long term investment.
Invest in more shares when you can as long as the price is on the low side. By preference invest in your Roth IRA if you have one instead of a brokerage account to avoid paying tax on dividend income at your regular tax rate.
