Wild thyme is in the same family as regular thyme. Both are perennial to our zone 5A. The regular thyme disappeared after a few years in our garden. The wild thyme comes back year after year.

Wild thyme is easy to propagate. You cut a branch or stem and dip in moist soil. You make sure a good part of the branch is in the moist soil for the root to grow along the branch. It roots quickly.
