Early July, we decided to spend $500 on groceries beside $300 we set aside for grocery expenses for July. The $500 would be spent at Sam’s club to purchase the staples we purchase there. We have not gone to Sam’s club since February or March to stay out of many grocery stores.
We also purchased few fridge filters to have replacement on hand and we purchased them from Lowes few blocks away from Sam’s club.

1-Toilet Paper ($19.98/45 rolls bag): $19.98

2 Delta Faucet Rubber seal ($2.83/each): $5.66
Lowes purchase fell in the category of our unregular expenses in the house maintenance that we usually save for.

Grocery Stock up within Budget
If you plan on stocking up on groceries, it could be a good idea to purchase extra of items you use and have more than one month worth of food and non-food supplies on hand to decrease the number of times you go grocery shopping.
When you have one year of grocery staples at home, incase of temporary job loss, you won’t have to worry about how to feed your family.
Food is a need. Make you are always stocked instead of relying on grocery stores to keep food on shelves to accommodate your needs.
